~Weekly Product Highlight~ Pond’s Cold Cream Cleanser~

Every night I remove every stitch of makeup from off my face.  

When I go to bed, there is not a single trace of the day’s beauty products left on my skin.  I generally have used Dove soap to clean my face and coconut oil to remove my waterproof makeup. With a bit of work in the eye area, it has worked really well for me.

About two months ago, I decided to give this Ponds cold cream cleanser a try.  At only $5 USD for 6.1 oz/172g, I figured I couldn’t really go wrong at least trying it out.

Where has this cleanser been all my makeup wearing life?!  

The first time I tried it, it felt a bit strange…it’s thick and feels a little greasy as it rubs into the skin.  As I rubbed it in, my makeup literally melted right off my face!  No scrubbing, no rubbing, just wiped right off!  

I use a damped old face cloth to wipe off the cream from my face and then rinse my face with warm water.  After rinsing off my face, it immediately felts softer.

On the days that I wear makeup, I use it as both my makeup remover and face wash.  After a few weeks of consistent nightly use, my skin started looking better than it has in years! I am hooked!  No wonder this cream has been around for 150 years.

What does this cream cleanser smell like you ask? One word: Nostalgia.  As soon as I opened it I immediately thought of when I was a little girl and used to try out all of my grandmother’s beauty products. (Sneaking out of her bathroom, I totally thought that no one would notice my overly blushed sparkling rosy cheeks. Who was I kidding?!)
