November 13: I’m thankful for Veterans. We recently celebrated Veteran’s Day here in the US on November 11, and I am thankful for all those that have sacrificed for my freedom! I am honored and privileged to say that my Grandfather served in the US Navy 65 years ago.
John 15:13Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
November 11: I’m thankful for my parents. They recently celebrated 41 years of marriage.
Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour. 10 For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up. 11 Again, if two lie together, then they have heat: but how can one be warm alone? 12 And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.
November 9: I’m thankful for forgiveness. It’s anger’s worst enemy. It flies in the face of all my pride, while it moves away the mad and crazy that’s inside. The prisoner that it really frees is me.
November 10: I’m thankful for library books. I love to read, and I love free things. It is a match made in Heaven!
November 6: I’m thankful for Jesus. His blood has washed away my sin. His love, grace, mercy, and kindness knows no end. I don’t deserve it!
November 7: I’m thankful for shelter. When my daughter saw that I was writing down all the things that I am thankful for, she asked me if I’m thankful for my shelter. I am thankful for shelter. My home is a place of warmth, security, safety, and comfort.
November 8: I’m thankful for spell check. I’m not even kidding! I’m such a terrible speller that I really don’t know where I would be without it! If not for spell check, you all would be having a good laugh at my post, or possibly a hard time trying to figure out what I was trying to spell. 😂
What about you? What are you thankful for? I’d love for you to share in the comments.
November 5: I’m thankful for the opportunity to give to others.
We had the awesome opportunity at my children’s school to pack boxes for Operation Christmas Child.🎁 Once finished packing up all the boxes, my daughter said “It’s so great to get to give to others and be a blessing”😍
I especially loved watching all the people filling their boxes and then praying for the child that is going to receive the box. ❤️ This year our school filled 200+ boxes! That was 100 more than we did last year! 🎄
James 1:17 – Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
If you are interested in sending a box to a child you can read more about it at the Samaritans Purse website.
November 3: I’m thankful for my son who is kind, determined, sensitive, tenderhearted, handsome, and funny (…not always on purpose.)
November 4: I’m thankful for my daughter. She is so funny (always on purpose.)! She brings so much joy and laughter into our family. She is so incredibly intelligent. She constantly surprises me with her quick wit and keen observations.
1 Thessalonians 5:18 – In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
I’m so grateful for all the ways I have been blessed in my life. For the next 30 days during November, I’m going to be focusing on what I am thankful for. (I’m a few days late, so I’ll be doubling up the next few days.)
November 1: I’m thankful for an extremely wise and wonderfully patient husband that puts up with all my CrAzY (and that’s a lot to put up with.)
November 2: I’m thankful for my super sweet loyal little dog that is always exceptionally happy to see me and never far from my side. 🐼
Ephesians 5:20 – Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;
I have posted this before, but I love it so much that I just wanted to share it again. This song has such a good message behind it. You don’t have to try so hard to make everyone else like you. All that matters is if when you are alone with yourself do you like who you are. Make your own decisions for yourself!

The daily stuff, those responsibilities that seem more like a distraction, those things we want to rush and get through to get on with the better and bigger assignments of life, those things that are unnoticed places of service, they are the very experiences from which we unlock the riches of wisdom. We’ve got to practice in the everyday places of our lives.
Never despise the mundane. Embrace it. Unwrap it like a gift. And be one of the rare few who look deeper than just the surface.
