One of my favorite places to find great deals on beauty products in CVS! They always seem to have great sales and with their extra bucks rewards and their CVS Beauty Club. (I don’t know about you, but I always spend my extra bucks on more makeup!)

No Gym No Problem

No Gym? No Problem! #2

You don’t need a bunch of gym equipment to get yourself into shape. You don’t even need hand weights, all you need is your own body weight. I love to use my own body weight for strength training! I can tell you from personal experience that these 8 moves will help to build your strength!

Michele Olson, Ph.D., professor of exercise science at Auburn University Montgomery designed this simple 8 move program. She suggests that if it is done 4 times a week for 6 weeks, you will see an increase in your overall strength.

Be sure to use good form when performing these moves! Besides the lunges I love all of these moves! I seriously HATE lunges!

I received this palette for Christmas and have been LOVING using it ever since. I am not kidding, I am in LOVE! Look at these beautiful colors! Every time I open this palette I get a happy little feeling! I cannot decide which of these amazing shades is my favorite. I adore Champagne and Nude, but then I look over and see Deep Purple, but look at that Mauve, oh my that… Pewter! I just can’t pick one!


This palette has 8 mattes and 8 shimmery shades. Each matte shades has a similar corresponding shimmer shade. It includes warm, cool and neutral shades. These shadows can be used wet or dry, and work perfectly either way. The palette comes with a Mini Behind The Scenes Eye Primer. I have used these both with and without the eyeshadow primer. I actually prefer it without a primer, but that is mostly because I don’t usually use a primer, so I am not used to putting one and and working with it.


I highly recommend this palette! If you are an eyeshadow lover, you NEED this in your life! The shadows are so soft, so smooth and so silky. I every day that I have used these shadows I have loved my eye look. The shadows are highly pigmented and blend like a dream. I am not going to be able to go back to using my other eyeshadows now that I have been spoiled with these.

Top Row is all Matte Shades:White, Cream, Taupe, Light Pink, Mauve, Sable, Espresso, Black.

Bottom Row is all Shimmer Shades:Nude, Champagne (sparkle shade), Gold, Light Bronze, Pewter, Garnet, Deep Purple, Slate

Target Beauty Box

I love Target, and recently they have been offering their own version of a beauty box. These boxes are usually awesome! Today they have two different boxes available. One is called the “Renewal box” and the other is called the “Refresh box” Both have a $30 value but only cost $7 each. I love a good Target beauty box, as of right now these are still available, but they usually go very quickly!

My daughter was playing dolls in the other room and I overheard heard her say, “I was really anticipating that this shade was going to be great for contouring, but it’s too muddy. I think I’ll try it as a transition shade in my crease.”

Walmart Beauty Box Winter 2016

Did you know that Walmart has it’s own a subscription beauty box? Yup, they do! It is a quarterly box and only costs $5 a season. Generally the box will have around 5 samples, with 1 or 2 of them being full sized products. Also in your Walmart Beauty Box, they send 2 or 3 smaller sample beauty products and coupons.

Walmart technically calls it a “sample box” and says that the box itself is free and the $5 is a flat rate for shipping and handling. Either way the box costs $5 each season.

If you are first time subscribers: Your subscription will be processed when you sign up and your credit card will be charged $5 and you will receive the current season’s box. Once you are subscribed, you won’t have to resign up, you will receive a shipping confirmation email and then your box will arrive. You’ll only be charged when your Beauty Box is shipped.

The Walmart beauty box website says “Each seasonal Beauty Box is a “limited edition” and may sell out. Note: Beauty products vary by box. Only one beauty box per email address.”

Here in the picture below is what I got in this seasons box. I wasn’t overly impressed with this seasons box. I have already received both the Neutrogena face wash and the Pure Silk shave gel in previous Walmart beauty boxes. Usually there is at least one or two full sized makeup products, but this time there was only lotions and hair stuff. Oh well, they can’t all be winners.

Spring Starting the second week of March (I didn’t get my spring box until mid May)
Summer Starting the second week of June (I got my summer box in mid August)

What I Got For Christmas!!!

Hello everyone! I hope that you all had an absolutely wonderful Christmas day! Praying you all spent your day with those you hold dearest, making memories that you will cherish for a lifetime! I greatly enjoyed the time I was able to spend with my family. We had a wonderful day together. My most favorite gifts of all were not found under the tree.

I was so very excited to receive… not one…not two… not even three… but FOUR new eye shadow palettes. I got the Lorac Pro Palette!!! The Naked 2 Palette and both the matte and the shimmer Lorac Love Lust and Lace palettes. I cannot wait to create all kinda of different types of eye looks with these new palettes!

I used shadows from the Lorac Pro palette on Christmas day, and I am not going to lie, my eye look was fierce 😉 These shadows are amazing! I am planning to use the Naked 2 palette today. I feel like a little kid, I am so excited about these!

I got my sweet BT Tessie a set of new tiny tennis balls. She is obsessed with playing ball, so she was in Heaven. She kept bringing me the ball and placing it right in front of my camera while I was trying to take pictures of the kids opening their gifts.
