Walmart Beauty Boxes Fall 2017

Did you know that Walmart has it’s own subscription beauty box? Yup, they do! It is a quarterly box and only costs $5 a season.Walmart technically calls it a “sample box” and says that the box itself is free and the $5 is a flat rate for shipping and handling. Either way, the box costs $5 each season.

In your Walmart Beauty Box, you can expect to find around 7-9 samples. Sometimes there are even a few full-sized makeup samples.

How does it work?

Create and account
Add your payment and shipping info
Wait for you confirmation email
Enjoy your beauty box when it arrives

The Walmart beauty box website says

“Each subscriber will be charged upon receiving an order confirmation (locking in your box for the season).
If you do not receive an order confirmation, please check your account information to make sure the payment and shipping information in your account is up to date (as well as check your junk mail). Following the order confirmation email is a shipping confirmation, once you receive the shipping confirmation email you can expect a delivery within 5-10 business days. Each seasonal Beauty Box is a limited edition and may sell out at any time. Note: Beauty products may vary by box.”There are two different types of boxes available, the classic and the trendsetter. Up until recently, only one box could be sent per email address, but that has been changed. I now receive both boxes.

Here is what I got in this season’s boxes:

Trendsetter Box

4 sample products and 4 foil packets product 2 perfume samples

One of the things we got in this season’s Trendsetter box is a Donkey Milk Sleeping Mask. Sounds weird and pretty interesting at the same time.

Classic Box

6 sample sized products. I’m not super impressed with these boxes, especially considering I know what I used to receive in these boxes last year…Seriously though, where is the Dove deodorant? I think that I have gotten 9 so far, so I was expecting another one to make it an even 10! 😉So that you can get an idea of what is usually included in the beauty boxes I have added a few of the recent past Walmart beauty boxes.

Ebates…Literally Getting Paid to Shop Online!

Do you use Ebates when you are shopping online? If you are not, you totally should!

It is hard to believe that it is real and not a scam, but it really is as simple as shopping online and getting paid!!

I realize that it sounds way too good to be true! I had always been a bit skeptical, but it is really a legit thing. I signed up last year on the recommendation of my sister.

Just today I have already earned $9 cash back just from the online shopping I have done. I have received 4 checks this year, and one of those checks was for almost $25.

There are often times that I start thinking… and one thing leads to another… and my thoughts stray from what is honest, just, pure, lovely and of good report.**

Today’s tip is about how to make a simple gift seems special!

The holiday season can get quite hectic! There are so many things that need to be checked off the to-do list! Simplify your gift giving by breaking up gift sets to make personalized gifts for several different people.

I found these great gift sets at Trader Joes. Break them down into individual items, mix and match…add in some delicious and super cute chocolate…Put all these items into a gift bag with some pretty tissue paper and you will have a beautifully personalized gift that took you mere minutes to prepare.You can do this with any type of pre-packaged gift set. There are all kinds available to choose from this time of year: lipstick, nail polish, eyeshadows, lotions and more.

For a while, I have been going back and forth between growing my hair out and cutting it into a pixie cut. As for now, the longer hair is winning…

Since I am trying to grow out my hair it is more important than ever to protect it from heat damage. While I don’t heat style or blow dry my hair every day, I do still want to protect it on the days that I do.

A heat protectant works by forming a protective barrier over the hair cuticle preventing the heat from damaging the hair. A heat protectant will also add moisture to your hair as well as preventing the natural moisture from evaporating as the hair is heat styled.

When I first decided I wanted a heat protectant I tried a few different oils. So far, the oils have just been too heavy for my fine straight hair. Maybe once my hair is a bit longer I can use one on just the ends, but for now, no good.

I did a bit of research and decided to give this Loreal Blow Dry It Quick Dry Primer Spray a try. It claims to:

Reacts with heat to reduce blow-dry time
Shields against heat damage
Formulated with fibralock technology
Heat protectant spray for all heat tools

I want my hair to be protected from heat, but I don’t want a product that is going to make my already fine oily hair look thinner and more oily. Thankfully, instead, when I use this spray, my hair looks sleek and shiny all day. It doesn’t weigh my hair down at all. It has a nice clean scent that lasts all day!

Due to my fine hair, it takes me no time at all to blow dry my hair anyway, so I cannot testify as to whether or not this spray cuts down on drying time. It does make heat styling my hair quicker and easier due to the fact that my hair smooths into place more effectively.

30 Days of Giving Thanks! Day 28, 29, and 30

November 28: I’m thankful for Mondays off of work. It is so nice to be able to have a day off at the very beginning of the week to get things ready for the rest of the week! Plus, it’s always nice to not have to work on Monday!

November 29: I’m thankful for audiobooks to enjoy on the ride to and from school with my children. We have listened to so many great books on our 30 min ride to and from school. It is a great way to make being stuck in traffic fly by!

November 30: I’m thankful for enough. It really is true that being grateful turns what we have into enough. Focusing on what I’m thankful for these last few weeks has really helped me to be more aware of all the things I already have.

November 25: I’m thankful for sunshine! It gets dark so early since turning back the clocks a few weeks ago for the end of daylight savings. I am so thankful that despite the shorter days, we have been having sunny days recently!

November 26: I’m thankful for long quiet Sunday afternoon naps! There is no better way to start off the week than by taking a nice long nap on Sunday afternoon.
