Did you know that Walmart has its own subscription beauty box?  Yup, they do!  It is a quarterly box and only costs $5 a season. Walmart technically calls it a “sample box” and says that the box itself is free and the $5 is a flat rate for shipping and handling.  Either way, the box costs $5 each season.

In your Walmart Beauty Box, you can expect to find around 7-9 samples. Sometimes there are even a few full-sized makeup samples.  Although in the past, I have raved about this box, the last few seasons have been a terrible waste of money.  If things continue this way I cannot recommend that you spend your money on this beauty box.  (I have added pictures of previous boxes below to show you how much the sample quality has decreased.)

For only $5USD four times a year, this used to be a great subscription box to receive. (see below photos, take special notice of the Spring 2017 boxes.  The quality of samples has greatly decreased since then!)

If you follow me on Instagram, you might remember that my disgust over the items I received in the classic summer Walmart beauty box brought me out of a 4 month IG hibernation. I receive both the classic and traditional boxes. I’m just as disgusted by both of them. What are your thoughts? One of the things we got in this season’s Trendsetter box is a Donkey Milk Sleeping Mask.  Sounds weird and pretty interesting at the same time.

Classic Box

6 sample sized products.  I’m not super impressed with these boxes, especially considering I know what I used to receive in these boxes last year…Seriously though, where is the Dove deodorant?   I think that I have gotten 9 so far, so I was expecting another one to make it an even 10!  😉So that you can get an idea of what is usually included in the beauty boxes I have added a few of the recent past Walmart beauty boxes.

Seriously though, once again this deodorant!  How many times are they going to send me the same exact Dove advanced care deodorant?!  I think that I have gotten 9 so far!  I don’t  use this type of deodorant, so I have 9 mini tubes just sitting around that I really need to drop off at the woman’s shelter in my area.

Seriously though, how many times are they going to send me the same exact Dove advanced care deodorant?!  I think that I have gotten 8 so far!  I don’t even use this type of deodorant, so I have 8 mini tubes just sitting around.

This season, I got an email from Walmart Beauty asking me if I would be interested in opting in to get a special box called the “Take A Me Moment” beauty box instead of one of the regular Spring Beauty Boxes.  So far it hasn’t shipped yet, but I’ll post about it whenever I get it.

Luckily for me, looks as if I will be receiving another bottle of nail polish…sigh…🙄

Overall, I think that this was just an ok set of samples in the Trendsetter box.  Personally, I hate foil packets!  They are such a waste of a sample!  There is usually enough product inside the sample for more than one use, but because of the packaging, it is hard to use it more than once.

Also, possibly because my only full-size product was nail polish, and I hate nail polish, might be why I feel as if this Trendsetter box wasn’t overly impressive compared to previous boxes.  (see the photos below)

The product that I am most interested in trying out is the Biore Free Your Pores Baking Soda Acne Scrub.  In previous boxes, I have gotten several great skin care products that I probably wouldn’t have tried otherwise. 

Although I am not as impressed with this box as I have been with previous boxes, for only $5 each, I find that the Walmart beauty boxes are generally a good deal!  How about you, do you get the Walmart Beauty box?  Did you get the same samples in your box? What do you think?

Over all, I think that this was just an ok set of boxes!  The Trendsetter was definitely the better of the two.  Compared to last season’s boxes, and previous boxes,  I wasn’t overly impressed. (see the photos below)
