Walmart Beauty Box Fall 2015
Did you know that Walmart has it’s own a subscription beauty box? Yup, they do! It is a quarterly box and only costs $5 a season. Generally the box will have around 5 samples, with 1 or 2 of them being full sized products. Also in your Walmart Beauty Box, you’ll find smaller sample beauty products, coupons, and tips on how to use them. Your order will include a wide selection of trusted Beauty brands.
If you follow me on Instagram, you may have already seen the picture that I posted the other day of my fall beauty box. I am loving the Neutrogena mascara! The Dove deodorant smells so wonderful. If you don’t follow me on Instagram, you should 😉 https://instagram.com/lookingjoligood/
Walmart technically calls it a “sample box” and says that the box itself is free and the $5 is a flat rate for shipping and handling. Either way the box costs $5 each season.
- You sign up at https://beautybox.walmart.com/
- Create and account
- Add your payment and shipping info
- Wait for you confirmation email
- Enjoy your beauty box when it arrives
If you are first time subscribers: Your subscription will be processed when you sign up and your credit card will be charged $5 and you will receive the current season’s box. Once you are subscribed, you won’t have to resign up, you will receive a shipping confirmation email and then your box will arrive. You’ll only be charged when your Beauty Box is shipped.
The Walmart beauty box website says “Each seasonal Beauty Box is a “limited edition” and may sell out. Note: Beauty products vary by box. Only one beauty box per email address.”

Becca-anne Beauty’s questions for me:
- How long have you been blogging for? I have been blogging for 3 months, it seems as if it has been a lot longer.
- Why do you blog? I blog because I feel like it is a fun way to be creative.
- What would you consider to be your biggest achievement? My biggest achieved is the one thing that I have really wanted to do and that is become a wife and mother. But good marriages and good mothers don’t happen accidentally, so it is something that I have to work at every day.
- What is you dream job? I actually just stared my dream job and I LOVE it! I am a Registered Nurse and just started working in an Out Patient Infusion Unit. We give chemo and blood and IV medications. It is such a great job and I love all the gals that I work with.
- What is your favourite perfume? I am very “scent-sitive” meaning I can’t really wear a lot of perfume without getting headaches. I do love the smell of Pleasures from Estee Lauder I actually wore it for years and suffered through the headaches it gave me.
- Your current go-to product. Hmmm, I think I would have to say my cake flavored Chapstick. It is so simple, yet I cannot live without it.
- Where is your favourite place to be and why? I love to be at home with my family
- A current song that you are loving. I love music and I love to sing, not sure if those listening to me are enjoying themselves, haha. Rather Be by Clean Bandit, I could listen to this song on repeat over and over…and over. I love Jess Glynne’s voice. I also love her song Right Here. So lovely!
- Summer or winter? No question, Summer!!!! I HATE winter!
- What are you looking forward to this season? I am looking forward to gaining an extra hour of sleep when we turn the clocks back for Day Light Savings.
- What will you be doing for christmas this year? We spend Christmas with family every year. I love Christmas even more now that I have kids to enjoy it with.
My questions for the bloggers:
- What makeup tools do you use on a daily basis?
- Where would you like to travel to if you had an endless amount of time and money?
- Even if you don’t post daily, do you write/research for your blog everyday?
- What is the number one best makeup purchase you have ever made and why?
- Favorite TV show?
- What was your very first job?
- Do you a save or a splurge?
- Sweet or Salty? Coffee or tea?
- What do you use to remove eye makeup and mascara?
- Who is your favorite beauty blog and YouTube beauty Guru? (I am always looking for new people to follow and watch)
- Lipstick, Gloss, Lip Stain, Balm, or Lip Liner?
Ipsy Customer Service Is Awesome!
In my post earlier today I said that when I received my ipsy glam bag it was different than what my “glam bag sneak peak” said I would be getting in my bag this month. Well, I sent an email to ipsy customer service and within less than an hour I got this reply…
Hi Laura!
Thanks so much for letting us know!
I’m sorry to hear the Glam Bag goodies you received didn’t match what you saw in your online Glam Bag. You should’ve received the following products this month:
NYX Cosmetics; ipsy Eye Shadow Trio
tre’StiQue; Mini Matte Lip Crayon (Nantucket Nude)
Evelyn Iona Cosmetics; Cream Blush (Ash)
Bayberry Naturals; Moisturizer (Rosehip & Hibiscus)
Vasanti Cosmetics; Brighten Up! Exfoliating Cleanser
Don’t worry, I’ve issued a replacement order to your current address for the items you haven’t received. You’ll get a tracking number via email once your package leaves our warehouse (within 5 -7 business days).
Apologies again for the inconvenience!
Let me know if I can help with anything else, and thanks for being part of ipsy!
Best regards,
Mariz
Thank you so much ispy! That is some really good (and really fast) customer service! If you don’t already subscribe to ipsy, here is just another reason why you should!

September Ipsy Glam Bag
I can’t believe that another month has flown by and it is already time to receive another ipsy glam bag! If you don’t know what ipsy is you can check out my previous post all about it by clicking HERE.
As usual, again this month my daughter was very excited about seeing what the ipsy glam bag design was going to look like. This month it is a gold faux leather bag with a raised texture pattern design with a matching tan zipper. She described this months bag as “really pretty with a ‘leatherish’ feel”.
Here is a picture of what my “glam bag sneak peak” said I would be getting in my bag this month…But it isn’t what I actually received. Too bad, because I like the items they were supposed to send me better than the ones that I got. Oh well, nothing I can do about it now.
Here is what I actually did get in my ipsy glam bag this month…
-NYX Cosmetics ipsy Eye Shadow Trio- when my daughter saw this she said “That light shade will
be great for all over the lid and the brown one will be perfect for the crease.” That’s my girl! The black shade swatches a bit patchy but it might be different once actually applied to the lid.
-Formula X Nail Color in Ignite- While it is a perfect for fall dark red shade, this one is going into the give away pile. As I have mentioned before, I actually hate getting nail polish samples. I get my toes done at the salon and never paint my finger nails at home.
-Crown Brush Oval Concealer Brush (C224)
-Not Soap, Radio Revitalizing Hand/Body Lotion in the scent persimmon + plum (smells quite delightful)

-tre’StiQue Mini Matte Lip Crayon in Nantucket Nude- The actual product itself is wonderful, I have a few other tre’StiQue products and I love them . This lip crayon is smooth and creamy, feels great on the lips, swatches beautifully. Unfortunately, the color is absolutely horrendous on my lips! I’ll spare you a picture of it!
I am jealous that this month some people got the NAOBAY Natural & Organic Oxygenating Moisturizing Cream. It is one of my favorites and I just ran out of it. I still can’t find where to repurchase it, and the site that ipsy sent me to isn’t in English, so I can’t read it well enough to purchase it. *sigh* Nothing wants to work out for me, haha.
How about you? Did you get an ipsy’s glam bag? What did you get in yours? Were you happy with your samples? Do you get any other monthly subscription bags/boxes that are worth trying out? Let me know in the comments below.

~Weekly Product Highlight~ Borghese Fango Active Mud For Face and Body ~
Borghese Fango Active Mud For Face and Body
Sometimes your skin just needs a little extra pampering and this Borghese Fango Active Mud For Face and Body mud mask is just the perfect product! It feels so good going on the face. As I apply it I can instantly feel it cooling and tingling on my skin. After I use this mask my skin always feels extra hydrated, super soft and looks brighter! I also love the smooth texture of the mud as well as the fresh clean smell. I highly recommend this mask.
While this mud mask is definitely not a bargain at $72.50 for a 17.6 oz/500gm, it is definitely worth every cent! A little bit goes a long way . This product is not only amazing, but it also lasts a long time. It comes in a beautiful glass jar with a sponge to help with the removal of the mask.
How to apply it…
Use on cleansed skin. Pack on thickly. Avoid eyes and mouth Rest 2-5 minutes. Do not let the mud dry. Remove with wet sponge and rinse with cool water. Use at least once a week.
What does the Borghese website have to say about the product?
“Our signature and classic Fango Active is a one-and-only, must-have, mineral-rich mud. It’s a sensational step beyond everyday clean. Derived from traditional Tuscan treatments, its deep-down purifying power purges and minimizes pores. It exfoliates and helps surface cell turnover, imparting clarity. It hydrates and firms reducing fine lines and providing smooth, toned texture. Infused with Sweet Almond and Avocado Oils, this mud detoxifies and does away with dull skin, leaving skin radiant and refreshed.”

August Ipsy Glam Bag and Birchbox Box
When you come home and your mail box looks like this, you know it is going to be an exciting day! I subscribe to both Birchbox and Ipsy.
While I do think that the box’s design each month are really super cute, I was not too impressed with my Birchbox samples this month. Actually…I haven’t been too impressed with my Birchboxes at all lately, so I am pretty sure I am going to be canceling my subscription. Several of my Birchbox samples have gone right into my give away to someone else box. I feel as if I can better spend $10 each month by picking out and purchasing my own beauty products. All that being said, it is excited to find my mailbox overflowing with makeup and samples. 🙂
Here is what I got from Birchbox this month…
- Shea Terra Organics Rose Hips Black Soap Deep Pore Facial Cleanser (I don’t really know what this stuff is really, a face wash…a mask…not sure)
- Juicy Couture I am Juicy Couture perfume sample (I hate perfume samples!)
R+Co ATLANTIS Moisturizing Shampoo and Conditioner (these were both in foil packs…I hate foil packs!) - Harvey Prince Sea Salt Texturizing Mist (I have super straight hair, sea salt mist just makes my hair look dirty.)
- Supergoop!® Daily Correct CC Cream SPF 35+ (This should be a great sample, right? I have heard so many great things about this brand. Yeah, it was such a small teeny tiny sample that I couldn’t even cover my entire face with the CC cream, and I don’t even have a very big face.)
- Multitasking crayons from LAQA & Co in the shade Humble Brag/blush pink (Ok, Finally something that I like. The color is beautiful! I wore it on my cheeks as blush and I loved it. I found it to be a bit drying on my lips, but the shade is beautiful and a bit of lip balm helped with the dryness.)
My daughter gets very excited about seeing what the ipsy glam bag design is going to look like. This month it is a black and white hounds tooth design with a pink zipper. She perfectly described it when she said that it feels just like duct tape. Here is what I got in my ipsy bag this month…
- JUARA Skincare Turmeric Antioxidant Radiance Facial Mask
- Skone Cosmetics Luxe Doubler Eye/Lip Pencil in Wine Briogeo
- Blossom & Bloom ™ Ginseng + Biotin Volumizer
- noyah Natural Lipstick in the shade Desert Rose (it is a nice creamy beautiful light pink)
- Trust Fund Beauty Nail Polish in Elegantly Wasted (This is a beautiful lilac purple shade. Unfortunately for me, this one is going into the give away pile. I actually hate nail polish. I get my toes done at the salon and never paint my finger nails at home. Oh well, 4 out of 5 isn’t bad.)
How about you? Do you get ipsy or Birchbox? What did you get in yours? Were you happy with your samples? Do you get any monthly subscription boxes that are worth trying out? Let me know in the comments below.
What is this ipsy thing you speak of?!
According to their website… “ipsy” comes from the Latin word ipse, meaning “sense of self.” Celebrating beauty of all forms in the world, ipsy provides a platform for anyone to express both their inner and outer radiance.
For only $10 a month (or $110 for a full year subscription), subscribers will receive a beautiful “Glam Bag” with deluxe and often full-sized beauty products. You won’t be billed until your subscription begins and after that you’ll be billed on the 1st of each month. Check it out for yourself using my referral link https://www.ipsy.com/new?refer=uqdkx
I have been subscribed to ipsy for a few months now and have really enjoyed trying out new and exciting products from brands that I might never have heard of or tried otherwise. If you enjoy makeup, you will love ipsy. It is also a great way to be able to try out new and different brands without spending a ton of money.
You don’t choose what you get in your “Glam Bag” each month. You basically take a quiz/survey of the things that you like. Then based on your likes, they send you samples and some full size products to try. Most of the things are higher end type products. It is a fun way to get to try out new things before buying them.
What to know a little more about what ipsy is? Here are some answers to ipsy Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs):
Q: When do bags ship?
A: Bags ship the middle of each month. We will send out a confirmation email when your bag ships.
Q: Which bag am I getting?
A. When you subscribe, we tell you which will be your first bag. In general, sign up before the 1st of the month to get that month’s bag.
Q: Do you ship internationally?
A: We currently ship to the U.S. (incl. Territories and Military Locations) and Canada. Please stay tuned, though, as we’d love to serve you all!
If you have more questions, you can find some more answers at the ipsy site
