I would love for you to follow me on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook. You can find me as Looking Joli Good on all three.

Since I started doing this several months ago, I have really enjoyed using up and trying out these samples. It has really helped me to not make any unnecessary beauty purchases!
Throughout this experiment, I have found a few great products that I have fallen in love with and added into my beauty routine.

Thankfully blackheads isn’t a huge issue for me personally. That being said, I still really love these types of poor strips. This one worked great. My pores definitely looked a lot clearer after using this strip.
A package of 6 strips costs around $5.50. ($0.91 each strip)
YES, based on the samples, I would purchase the Biore Charcoal Pore Strips.

Personally, I love CeraVe cleansers, when given the choice between CeraVe and Cetaphil, I would usually choose CeraVe. That being said, I haven’t tried many of the newer Cetaphil products.
This little gentle cleanser is really great! I like the way it left my skin feeling clean but not tight and dry. Keep in mind that this is a facial cleanser and not a makeup remover. It doesn’t do a great job at removing makeup.
$10 for a 16 oz bottle and $3 for this small 1 fl oz sample/travel size.
YES, based on the samples, I would purchase the Cetaphil Gentile Skin Cleanser

I LOVE this shampoo and conditioner! The claim on the bottle is “Stronger more beautiful hair in 7 days.” I believe it! I could feel a difference in my hair after using these products for several days in a row.
The shampoo has a wonderful fresh macintosh apple scent that lasted all day. While the conditioner didn’t smell quite as good, it worked so well that I can excuse it for the lack of beautiful scent.
If I didn’t already have so many other shampoo/conditioners to get through, I would have already purchased these. I liked them that much!
Each product is priced around $6 each for a 22 oz bottle.
YES, based on the samples, I would purchase the Clear Scalp and Hair Therapy Total Care Shampoo and Conditioner

This product claims to have the control of a pencil with the intensity of a liquid liner. It also has a paddle tip that can be thick or thin depending on which side of the tip is used.
I had really good intentions to try out this eyeliner which is why I put it into my sample pile… but I have so many other black liquid eyeliners opened right now, it would just be wasteful for me to open up another one. So, nope, I haven’t used this one yet. $7 for .034 fl oz liner.
$7 for .034 fl oz liner.
Based on the fact that I have not used this sample yet, I don’t know if I would purchase it.

I was so excited about these clothes. I was hoping that they would be such a great product…yeah, nope. The idea is a good one, but the actual product just doesn’t work well enough to get the desired accomplishment. The wipes are a great size but are just kinda damp, not wet enough to really clean off the brushes

I think that it is a really great idea… I don’t know if my expectations were just too high, but I didn’t love the way that these worked.
$7 for 25 clothes.
No, based on the samples, I would not purchase the Eco Tools Makeup Brush Cleansing Clothes

I have super super super sensitive teeth! There are several kinds of toothpaste that are just too abrasive for me to use. This Hello Mojito Mint Fluoride Toothpaste didn’t bother my teeth at all. It has a very different yet pleasant flavor. It really has a limey minty taste to it. I really enjoyed using this toothpaste. I got several days out of this .75 oz sample.

$4.50 for a 5 oz tube
YES, based on the samples, I would purchase the Hello Mojito Mint Floride Toothpaste

Have you ever heard of this brand before? I have never heard of it before, so I don’t really know anything about it other than what I know from this body butter sample.
The packaging says “Warning: our products are so fruity and juicy you might be tempted to eat them. Well don’t, they are not food.” I thought that was pretty cute and funny…
As far as the product itself, I was underwhelmed. The texture of the butter was good, thick and creamy, but it just didn’t leave my skin feeling hydrated. The scent was only ok. Instead of having the nice natural coconut flavor like I expected and like what I am used to, it smelled fake and manufactured.
I have been using it on my heels on my feet. It does work pretty well for that.
At a price of $18 for 200 ml, I can definitely find a better product at a much better price.
Nope, based on the samples, I would not purchase the NSPA Coconut Rich Body Butter

This is an all-natural exfoliant. It is made of organic oat and almond flours and mineral-rich sea salt. Due to the all natural organic ingredients, I really wanted to like this product.
I got two tries out of this sample size. I definitely didn’t enjoy it either time. Instead of exfoliating my face it basically just turned into mush on my skin. Kinda weird.
A 0.7 oz bottle costs $12 and a 3 oz bottle is $24.
Nope, based on the samples, I would not purchase the S.W. Basics Exfoliant.
What about you? Have you tried any of these samples before? What did you think? Did you buy the full size based on your experience with the sample size?
If you would like to see which samples I have already tried out in the past you can read more by clicking HERE.
Makeup of the day, using some of my favorite brands Maybelline, Lorac, Seraphine Botanicals, Covergirl, the balm, Tarte and Loreal. (Check back tomorrow for a full post about the Loreal Magic BB!)
If you follow me on Instagram (lookingjoligood) You may have already seen this picture. Here is what I am wearing again on my face today.

Also here is a picture of me wearing the makeup, but although it isn’t actually a close up of my face, I really just wanted to show off this really cute outfit I just bought. So this post is actually a MOTD/OOTD post. I got this outfit at Marshalls for less than $50 USD. The shirt has a super cute gold zipper detail on the back.

(Seriously though, how huge is my phone?! Haha, it’s new too and I love it! It is a Nexus 6P.)

I would love for you to follow me on Instagram and Facebook. You can find me as Looking Joli Good on both. I would also love to follow you on Instagram as well, so let me know your user name in the comment section below!

Target has just posted the items for their upcoming April 2016 Beauty Box!
The new boxes are NOT on sale yet, so this page currently says “Sold Out.” Don’t worry, you haven’t missed it yet!
The launch date of this beauty box hasn’t been announced yet, but I have a feeling that it will probably be on Monday, since that seems to be when they usually go live.
Here are the items that will be featured in the new Target Beauty Box:

What do you think of the products in this months box? Will you be trying to get this moths box? I haven’t gotten the last few Target Boxes, but I think that this one looks pretty good! I love Pantene and CeraVe and Laneige. Surprisingly, I don’t own any CoverGirl lipsticks, so hopefully it is a good color.

I’d love for you to follow me on Instagram Lookingjoligood and on Facebook Lookin Joli Good!

The Oh Sugar lip balms by Covergirl are a nice alternative to very similar tinted balms on the market. There are 10 beautiful shades to choose from. With Grape seed oil and Avocado butter this balm is super smooth and silky. It glides on smoothly, moisturizes well and gives just enough sheer color that it can be applied without a mirror. It has a sweet light lemon citrus scent to it. (which is one of my favorite scents!)

This is almost a perfect dupe for the fresh sugar rose, which you can get from Sephora. The biggest difference between the Sugar Rose and the Oh Sugar? The price, $24 compared to $9.

The covergirl Oh Sugar! has exactly the same feel, and the color of the shade Candy is pretty much spot on as well- ($8.99 at CVS, but don’t forget about coupons, sales, and extracare bucks! You can get these lip balms for a steal!) I have seen them as low as $6.99 at Target, and $7.15 at Walmart.

What does the Covergirl website have to say about it…
Treat your lips with colorlicious oh sugar! Vitamin infused lip balm. With the help of grapeseed oil, avocado butter, and Vitamins C & E, it’s only natural that this delicious smelling lip treatment leaves your lips soft and nourished with a hint of sheer color. Protect and repair lips with any of the 10 scented shades.
OVERVIEW
. Infused with grapeseed oil, avocado butter & Vitamins C&E
. Sheer tint adds in hint of lip color
. Available in 10 scented shades
The COVERGIRL Guarantee. You’ll love it, or your money back.

Remember those Maybelline and Garnier coupons I posted at the end of August? Well, I finally used them (and a few others) and picked up a few things at the drugstore today.
As you may remember, I love the Maybelline SuperstayBetter Skin Foundation. During the summer I was a wearing the shade 20, but now that the fall/winter is coming I need a lighter shade so I picked up 15, the next shade down. I love that this foundation has a pump!
Do you keep tabs on recommendations from other beauty “gurus”? I have heard so many great things about the Maybelline Fit Me Matte and Poreless foundation, so I wanted to try it out for myself. I bought the shade 115. I’ll let you know how I like it.
The Maybelline Great Lash mascara is basically like the most iconic of all mascaras. As much as I love mascara, surprisingly, I have never tried this one. I am looking forward to seeing what I think and if lives up to the hype.
I have been using Yes to Grapefruit Daily Facial Scrub for about a month or so now, and I do really like it. I figured I would try out the Garnier Grapefruit version and see how it compares.
The Simple MicellarWater and Aussie 3 Minute Miracle are both product that I have heard so many YouTubers talk about. I figured that since I had a $2 off coupon for both of them, it was definitely worth giving them a try.
As for the Suave lotion, I have been using it for years and know that it is something that I love and will repurchase over and over again. Not to heavy or greasy, not to overly scented.
