Sometimes a little motivation is needed to continue on.  Some days are harder than others.  Mark this down, pin it or print it out if you need to and read it whenever you feel like you need a little kick in the pants…

What you have decided to start is very hard. Change is never easy. Choosing a healthy lifestyle is just as much mental as it is physical. You have to make a choice every day to keep going.  You won’t see results for a few weeks, but you’ll start to feel stronger. It takes 6 weeks to see real results and 12 weeks before most people will notice the change on the outside that you have been feeling on the inside.  You didn’t gain the weight in a week and you won’t lose it all in a week either. It takes time and commitment!  Don’t let being sore stop you, use the soreness as motivation to keep pushing yourself! Make every jumping jack and every burpee count, don’t waste your time only giving half an effort. You’ll have good days and you’ll have bad days, but making the choice to keep going is what makes the difference!Change is not easy. Motivation to continue. | lookingjoligood.wordpress.com

Walmart Beauty Box Fall 2015

Did you know that Walmart has it’s own a subscription beauty box?  Yup, they do!  It is a quarterly box and only costs $5 a season.  Generally the box will have around 5 samples, with 1 or 2 of them being full sized products.  Also in your Walmart Beauty Box, you’ll find smaller sample beauty products, coupons, and tips on how to use them.  Your order will include a wide selection of trusted Beauty brands.

Walmart technically calls it a “sample box” and says that the box itself is free and the $5 is a flat rate for shipping and handling.  Either way the box costs $5 each season.

  • Wait for you confirmation email
  • Enjoy your beauty box when it arrives

If you are first time subscribers: Your subscription will be processed when you sign up and your credit card will be charged $5 and you will receive the current season’s box.  Once you are subscribed, you won’t have to resign up, you will receive a shipping confirmation email and then your box will arrive.  You’ll only be charged when your Beauty Box is shipped.

The Walmart beauty box website says “Each seasonal Beauty Box is a “limited edition” and may sell out.  Note: Beauty products vary by box.  Only one beauty box per email address.”

Becca-anne Beauty’s questions for me:

  1. How long have you been blogging for? I have been blogging for 3 months, it seems as if it has been a lot longer.
  2. Why do you blog?  I blog because I feel like it is a fun way to be creative.
  3. What would you consider to be your biggest achievement?  My biggest achieved is the one thing that I have really wanted to do and that is become a wife and mother. But good marriages and good mothers don’t happen accidentally, so it is something that I have to work at every day.
  4. What is you dream job?  I actually just stared my dream job and I LOVE it!  I am a Registered Nurse and just started working in an Out Patient Infusion Unit.  We give chemo and blood and IV medications.  It is such a great job and I love all the gals that I work with.
  5. What is your favourite perfume?  I am very “scent-sitive” meaning I can’t really wear a lot of perfume without getting headaches.  I do love the smell of Pleasures from Estee Lauder I actually wore it for years and suffered through the headaches it gave me.
  6. Your current go-to product.  Hmmm, I think I would have to say my cake flavored Chapstick.  It is so simple, yet I cannot live without it.
  7. Where is your favourite place to be and why? I love to be at home with my family
  8. A current song that you are loving.  I love music and I love to sing, not sure if those listening to me are enjoying themselves, haha. Rather Be by Clean Bandit, I could listen to this song on repeat over and over…and over.  I love Jess Glynne’s voice.  I also love her song Right Here.  So lovely!
  9. Summer or winter?  No question, Summer!!!! I HATE winter!
  10. What are you looking forward to this season? I am looking forward to gaining an extra hour of sleep when we turn the clocks back for Day Light Savings.
  11. What will you be doing for christmas this year?  We spend Christmas with family every year.  I love Christmas even more now that I have kids to enjoy it with.

I keep track of my weight loss on my fitbit fitness tracker.  Today I received my weight loss goal badge!  I am pretty excited about the progress that I have made.  I have set a new goal and am excited about trying to reach it.  It has been a lot of consistent work and I am excited to continue on this journey.  I do have a feeling that the next goal may be a bit harder to reach, those last 5 pounds always seem to be the hardest to get rid of. 🙂Flab to FAB Progress | lookingjoligood.wordpress.com

Drugstore Haul | lookingjoligood.wordpress.comIf you know me in real life, you know that if I am not at home, church, or at my kid’s school, most likely you can find me at Target!  I love that place!  They take all of my coupons, plus have cartwheel and mobile coupons. So, that being said, that is where I got all of these things.

I love Pantene!  It is my all time favorite shampoo/conditioner brand!  Even when I have used other higher end brand hair care I always end up coming back to Pantene.  I am interested to try out this new Ultimate 10 BB Creme Conditioner  and the Nature Fusion Moisturizing Shampoo with Melon Essence.

I have been enjoying the Maybelline Fit Me Foundation and wanted to try out the Fit Me Concealer.  Of course, I also had a coupon.

I love the YES to Grapefruit Daily Facial Scrub, so I am wondering if these facial wipes will be good.

I love Maybelline mascaras, and have heard so many great things about the Lash Sensational Mascara but I have never tried it.  I had a $2 off coupon, so I figured I would buy it and give it a try to see if it lives up to the recommendations.

Let’s face it, the EOS lip balm packaging is super cute!  I have tried the Strawberry one, and I have to admit I was less than impressed by it.  I was told that the vanilla mint one is different and better than the others.  So, I am giving this EOS Visibly Soft Vanilla Mint Lip Balm a try.

I still had some Garnier coupons left and decided to give The Soothing Remover Cleansing Towelettes for Sensitive Skin wipes a try.

I had a coupon for the Herbal Essences Happy Go Lather Body Wash and decided to give it a try.  It smells delightful.

Don’t Just Be Aware Of Breast Cancer!

Most people know that October is “Breast Cancer Awareness Month.” While most are “aware of breast cancer”, many forget to take the steps to have a plan to detect the disease in its early stages.  Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women in the United States (other than skin cancer). Millions of women are surviving the disease thanks in part to early detection and improvements in treatment.

As you may remember, I recently started a new job at the Hospital.  I’m working in an Out Patient Infusion Center.  We give a lot of different medications, and a lot of chemotherapy.  In just the few weeks that I have been working, I have seen so many cases of advanced cancer. The earlier the cancer is found, the better the prognosis!

If you think that you can’t afford to get tests done, in the USA, coverage of mammograms for breast cancer screening is mandated by the Affordable Care Act.  The ACA provides that these be given without a co-pay or deductible.  (Obama care is good for somethings)  Don’t put off screening because of fear of the possible outcome.  I can’t stress to you enough that early detection saves lives!!!!
