May’s theme is “Summer Friday”
“Your Summer story starts here”

Where I live, May has been rainy, gray and foggy. We have had a few sunny days here and there but overall it’s been a gloomy month. The summer theme for this month’s glam bag couldn’t have been farther from the truth…
Despite the doom and gloom, with all the end of school year activities, May has been a super busy month. I’m just getting around to writing about my glam bag now.
If you follow me on Instagram you already saw what I got in my May glam bag.

(If you don’t know what ipsy is you can check out my previous post all about it by clicking HERE)

This month’s bag is a cute see through plastic rain coat feeling material with ice cream cones and popsicles on it. It is a bit longer than most ipsy glam bags.
The way that ipsy describes the bag is “I scream, you scream, we all scream for this Glam Bag dream! May’s bag (inspired by our fave Summer Friday treat) is water resistant, AKA perf for making a splash at pool parties!”
Here is what I got in my May 2017 ipsy glam bag:

Urban Decay Afterglow in Sin
I love Urban Decay! I have never been disappointed with any of the powder products I have used from them. This highlighter is no exception. The powder is super finely milled, which makes it feel creamy while still feeling lightweight.
Jelly Pong Pong Supercharged Super Intense Eyeshadow Duo in Electric
I have used several Jelly Pong Pong products from ipsy. So far all have been impressive. I really enjoy this product, I just have so many similar shimmery rose gold/golden eye shadows that I feel this one will probably get lost in the shuffle… I may pass it along to a friend.

Pixi by Petra Endless Silky Eye Pen in BlackNoir
Yet ANOTHER black eyeliner in my glam bag… 🙄
The formula is super creamy, making the application easy without any tugging or pulling. It is waterproof and super hard to remove without an oil based makeup remover. I would really love to try this same product in another shade… Some ipsters recieved the shade OpalOvercoat…oh well.

Hey Honey Bésame Mucho
I love getting lip balms in my glam bags! This one is perfection! If I were to create a lip balm, this is exactly what I would create! It is absolutely perfection! The scent is perfect, the consistency is perfect, the way it makes my lips feel is perfect. This sample tube is 8ml/ 0.27 oz, a 15mL/ .5oz tube costs $14.00. I will definitely be buying this one when I finish up this tube.
This product’s Spanish name Bésame Mucho translates in English to “kiss me a lot,”. It has Propolis, which is an extract from beehives that both hydrates and is antibacterial. At night, I love putting on a super thick layer to use as an overnight lip mask

Luxie Beauty Luxie Dreamcatcher Precision Foundation Brush 660
This brush is super soft, and the handle is one of my favrite colors. That being said… I know I am never going to use it. I usually apply my foundation with a beauty sponge, not a brush. Maybe I will use it in some other way.

Did you get a glam bag this month? What did you get in yours? Were you happy with your samples? Do you get any other monthly subscription bags/boxes that are worth trying out? Let me know in the comments below.
I am still trying to decide between Glossy box and Boxy charm and haven’t signed up for either of them yet. Although, despite thinking about ordering a different subscription box, I have also been considering canceling my ipsy subscription. Since I have been recieving glam bags for over two years now, I just have so many products that I don’t ever use.
