I absolutely LOVE this product it is by far one of the best eyeshadows I have ever had. It never creases, fades, or flakes, and a little bit goes a long way and lasts all day. These shadows are packed with pigment and shimmer. They are available in 24 beautiful shades and generally cost around $7 USD. Some of my favorites shades are Always Pearly Pink, Amber Rush, and Liquid Diamond.

As you can tell from the above picture, these shadows swatch amazingly beautifully. They go onto the eyes just as beautifully. They have a velvety super smooth texture that has a cream to powder finish. The color payoff is amazingly rich without any creasing or fallout.

Amber rush is seriously gorgeous. It reminds me a lot of Chopper from Urban Decay minus the fall out. The color payoff from just a single swipe with the finger is amazing! The below swatch is one swipe of Amber Rush and Chopper is applied wet.

I have so many other high end eye shadows from MAC, Urban Decay, Lorac, and the Balm, the pigmentation of these Loreal Infallible Eyeshadows is so concentrated that I might almost say that it is better than all those other more expensive shadows.

To be honest it is not all perfection…I am going to warn you, if you don’t close the cover completely it will dry out. On the top of the little plastic protector that comes with the shadow it says Do Not Discard, it means it, don’t throw it out or the shadow will be all dried out and unusable. Also don’t press the gray insert down onto the shadow too tightly. I learned the hard way that it will squeeze out all the liquid and also cause the shadow to dry out quickly. Since they have that kind of a powder/cream consistency you cannot use a brush to apply them. (It is similar to Color Pop shadows.) They are best when applied with the fingers. If you always prefer to use a brush to apply your shadows these are not the shadows for you.
For the 1st time ever, L’Oréal Paris introduces an ultra intense eye shadow that lasts from day until dawn—a full 24 hours. This revolutionary formula fuses the ease of a powder with the velvety caress of a cream to create a unique hybrid that glides on effortlessly. And with its unique technology, your eyes are enhanced with pure, magnified pigment.
Make a lasting impression without batting an eye.
-Intense, maximized color
-Luxurious powder-cream texture
-24-hour long-lasting hold
-Waterproof, crease resistant, fade resistant

Has anyone tried out this new e.l.f. Rose Gold Eyeshadow Palette?
I am wondering if it is a good one worth getting? I LoVe my Mad for Matte Palette and am wondering if this one is the same level of quality. (I already have the Wet N Wild Au Natural Nude Awakenings Palette which is really good, but not all of the shadows are over the top great.) For only $10 I really can’t go wrong, I just don’t know if I want to add another palette to my collection to take up more room.

I have mentioned before that I have to wear waterproof mascara if I want my lashes to stay curled. Since it is waterproof most regular cleanser will not remove my mascara. I like to remove every single little bit of my makeup every night, so I needed to figure out a way to get all my waterproof mascara off. That is when I discovered coconut oil as a makeup remover.

Coconut oil is great for so many things, but one of my favorite things to use it for is a natural makeup remover. A small amount goes a very long way, so a jar or bottle will last a long time!
I start with my eyes since it takes a little while for the oil to breakdown the mascara. I use take one pump of fractionated coconut oil or one tiny scoop of organic unrefined coconut oil. I rub it gently on my eyes in a circular motion. I let that settle in while I remove the rest of the make up from my face.
To remove the rest of the rest of my face makeup, I gently rub coconut oil in a circular motion all over my face. I wash it all off with a warm wet wash cloth*.
*You don’t want to let the coconut oil filled water that you rinse off your face with go down the drain. Over time it will harden and clog up your pipes. Pretty gross!

I have been feeling a bit yuck the last few days, either I have a cold or my allergies are acting up. (Yup, I am totally looking for some sympathy here, lol) When I am feeling stuffed up, despite wanting to lay around and feel sorry for myself, I generally feel better when I keep active.

The general advice I’ve heard from doctors is if your symptoms are from the neck up (sore throat, coughing, runny nose, congested sinuses), it’s fine to participate in light exercising activities. You know your body, don’t push it too much but listen to the way you feel. Sometimes a workout is just what you may need to feel better! Personally I get a lot of sinus headaches, and often after I exercise I feel a lot better!
If you are having symptoms that include muscle or joint pain, along with headache, fever, malaise (overall general feeling of yuck), diarrhea, or vomiting do not workout. When in doubt, ask your doctor and listen to your body!
Please don’t go to the gym if you are sick. Not only could you pick up additional bugs while your immune system is already not at 100%, but you could also be spreading your germs to every one else. It is usually great to share, but not when it is germs!
Remember that after you are sick you might need to ease yourself back into a workout routine. Don’t over do it since you might end up making yourself feel worse later on! Listen to your body, get plenty of rest, and keep hydrated!

If you have been around Looking Joli Good for any amount of time, you know that I love long lashes! I never wear false lashes, mostly because the thought of putting glue next to my eyes makes me feel grossed out.

While there are so many great lash-pumping mascaras on the market, you don’t need to spend a ton of money on one of them. Instead, after applying your first coat of mascara quickly dust some translucent powder onto your lashes. Apply a second coat of mascara over the powder and be amazed at how full your lashes look!

I am not skilled to understand
What God has willed what God Has planned
I only know at his right hand
Stands one who is my Savior
I take him at his word and deed
Christ died to save me this I read
And in my heart I find the need
Of him to be my Savior
That he would leave his place on high
And come for sinful man to die
You called it strange so once did I
Before I knew my Savior
My Savior loves
My Savior lives
My Savior’s always there for me
My God he was
My God he is
My God he’s always gonna be

Yes living, dying let me bring
My strength my Solace from the Spring
That he who lives to be my king
Once died to be my Savior
That he would leave his place on high
And come for sinful man to die
You called it strange, so once did I
Before I knew my Savior
My Savior loves
My Savior lives
My Savior’s always there for me
My God he was
My God he is
My God he’s always gonna be
My Savior loves
My Savior lives
My Savior’s always there for me
My God he was
My God he is
My God he’s always gonna be
My Savior lives
My Savior loves
My Savior lives
My Savior loves
My Savior lives

1) Stop comparing yourself to anyone else!

That is it! In this world of social media, it is so hard not to get sucked into comparing ourselves with others. We now see so much more of people’s “private” lives. The problem is that we are usually comparing all of our flaws with the snapshots they choose to share of an edited filtered version of a picture perfect life. Their reality is that they are also not perfect, they too have flaws that we do not see.
When I feel myself comparing myself to others in a negative way, I remind myself that the only person that I need to be comparing myself to is the one I see in the mirror. I need to focus on being a better version of myself than I was yesterday…
