The little Bite Size 4 pan quad palettes from @elfcosmetics are not only amazing but they’re also only $3 USD! They’re available in 8 different quad combos with the cutest food related names such as Cream and Sugar, Pumpkin Pie, Carnival Candy, and Açaí You. Out of the eight available quads I have three: Rose Water, Berry Bad, and Cream and Sugar. They are all beautiful and great quality, but Rose Water is my favorite and most used.
A simple but beautiful eye look using the 4 shades from the Rose Water Bite Sized Elf Cosmetics Palette
Surprisingly it seems that every time I use the shadows in the Rose Water quad someone will compliments me on my eyeshadow look. I’ve hit pan on my original quad, so I’ve already repurchased another new one.
Much used and much loved Rose Water Bite Sized Palette from Elf Cosmetics

No matter what new palette I get I always end up reaching for my Urban Decay Naked 2 palette.
Suspect, Pistol, Verve, YDK, Busted, Blackout Naked Palette Swatches taken with the flash
“Urban Decay Naked2 Palette is filled with luminous eyeshadow shades with finishes ranging from shimmer to sparkle to the smoothest mattes imaginable. The 12 never-boring taupe-hued neutrals help you expand your Naked range to create even more sultry neutral looks, smoky dramatic looks and everything in-between. It includes a professional-quality, cruelty-free double-ended shadow/blending brush. The case has an art-school inspired look with a hinged lid colored in taupe metal with embossed chocolate brown artwork. It’s smooth, modern and cool to the touch.”
I received this palette for Christmas and instantly fell in love! It is a neutral to warm toned rose gold themed palette. I love Lorac products and especially their eyeshadows, this is no exception! These shadows are soft and smooth and blend so easily!
“Get UNZIPPED and unleash your natural beauty with LORAC’S universally flattering nude eye shadow palette.Create unlimited head-turning looks with the MINI Behind The Scenes Eye Primer for long-lasting color and 10 ultra-rich, shimmering and matte shadows in a super sexy, nude palette. LORAC: UNZIPPED, UNCENSORED and UNBELIEVABLE!”
The packaging is simple, thin, and lightweight. It is made out of a heavyweight sturdy cardboard with a glossy finish. It has a pretty good sized mirror. One of the things I really enjoy about this palette is the larger pan sizes.
There are 9 shimmer/satin shades and 3 matte shades.
All of the shadows in the Unzipped palette have names that start with UN:
Undercover– Pink-toned white with a satin finish. Unbelievable– Medium rose-toned copper with a metallic finish. Unattainable– Bronzey mauve with a shimmering metallic finish. Unconditional– Dusty pink matte. Unbridled– Warm-toned burgundy with a matte finish. Undiscovered– Tangerine-toned bronze with a frosty metallic finish. Unreal– Peachy pink pearly beige with a frosty metallic finish. Uncensored– Medium-deep bronzey brown with a pearly, shimmering finish. Unspoken– Warm earthy clay brown with a matte finish. Untamed– Purple based deep brown burgundy with a shimmering glitter finish.
These swatches were applied with a dry brush onto a primer. These shadows apply beautifully when applied both wet or dry. They have great lasting power. I haven’t noticed any fading even after 8 hours of wear time.
The matte shades are easy to work with and blend, the shimmery and glittery shades are beautiful and easy to use and apply. I do find that the shimmery shades work best with a primer or some sort of base. These shadows can have a bit of fallout. As with most shadows, I notice more fallout with the darker shades and a bit more the more shimmery the shade is.
Of the 10 shadows, my favorites are the top center 3: Unbelievable, Unattainable, and Unconditional.
The only shadow that I don’t find to be as amazing as all the others are is Unreal. It is a bit stiffer and less creamy than the other shadows. Don’t get me wrong, it is still beautiful and it still works well, it just isn’t as easy to apply and blend as the other shadows in this palette. Too bad because it is actually my favorite of all the shimmer shades.
The shade that I have gotten the most use out of so far is Unconditional. It is a beautiful neutral matte rosy mauve shade. I have been using it as a contouring crease/transition color. It is perfect for when I want something a little softer and don’t want to use a brown.
In a way, Unconditional somewhat reminds me of Tease from my Naked2 palette and Sweetheart from the Tarte Tartlette In Bloom. (my other favorites as a crease/transition shade). Sweetheart is medium peachy-orange with warm undertones and Teaseis a matte mushroom taupe with purple undertones. Unconditional is the combination of the two of them, a matte dusty rose pink mauve.
As I mentioned, I got it for Christmas, used it Christmas day. I used it over and over every day and didn’t put it down again for several weeks. Despite the fact that I got a few other makeup palettes for Christmas, this is the one that I found myself reaching for every day.
I talked about this palette non-stop to my sister in law, I’m sure she is so sick of hearing about how great it is and how much I love it. The shades are gorgeous and can create so many beautiful looks.
I don’t know if it is just because I enjoy wearing it so much and love using these shadows, but I find that every time I use this palette someone will compliment my eye look.
Overall, this is a must-have palette! I think it would be great in any makeup collection beginner or more advanced makeup wearer.
What about you, what do you think? Do you have this palette in your collection? Are you drawn to the beautiful rose gold shades like I am? Let me know in the comment section below.
I would love for you to follow me on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook. You can find me as Looking Joli Good on all three.
I am wondering if it is a good one worth getting? I LoVe my Mad for Matte Palette and am wondering if this one is the same level of quality. (I already have the Wet N Wild Au Natural Nude Awakenings Palette which is really good, but not all of the shadows are over the top great.) For only $10 I really can’t go wrong, I just don’t know if I want to add another palette to my collection to take up more room.
Let me know in the comment section what you think and if I should get it! I trust your opinions!

~Weekly Product Highlight~e.l.f. Eyeshadow Palette -Mad for Matte~
I had ordered this e.l.f. Eyeshadow Palette -Mad for Matte a long time ago, and it took so long to arrive that I had almost given up on it and then had I actually forgotten about it. Unfortunately, it is sold out on the elf website, but can usually be found at Target and CVS and Target.com.
I just love matte neutral shadows!
I purchased this matte palette on the recommendation of Tati from GlamLifeGuru on YouTube. She always give the best recommendations, so I knew that it was going to be a great palette.
Here is what I think about this palette…
Pros:
This 10 shade palette only cost $10!
The shadows are smooth and creamy.
They apply easily and blend like a dream.
You can easily get a complete eye look out of this one palette.
There are so many options for a great crease shade and several great transition shades.
Cons:
While there are 10 shades in this palette several of them are so similar that when used together they look like the same shade.
It can end up looking muddy if blended all together.
It is constantly “sold out” so it is not easy to get your hands on.
Yes, there are actually 10 shades swatched in this picture. I am just so ghostly pale that 3 blend right in rather than stand out!
What does the elf website have to say about the Mad for Matte Palette…
“details
Achieve both beautifully bold or subtle everyday eye looks with these perfectly curated 10 matte eyeshadow shades. This collection of hues is ideal for shading, highlighting, and defining the eyes. The satin matte shadows can be used as a liner, on the lid, and in the crease of the eye for an expertly contoured and blended look.
how to use
Apply dry all over the eyelid with a brush for a subtle wash of color or apply wet for a vibrant effect.
Start with a light color and apply the shade all over your eyelid as a base.
Next, apply a medium shade over the eyelid and the eye crease using the crease brush.
Finally, apply the darkest shade over your eyelid. ”
I love the packaging, it is so simple and sleek.
Have you tried this palette yet? What did you think? I think for an overall inexpensive brand, E.L.F. has some really great products!
You need this in your life! I am telling you, stop what you are doing and go get this e.l.f. Powder Blush Palette! Ok, maybe that is a little dramatic, but these blushes are really awesome! They give the face such a beautifully pigmented glow! I am so impressed with the quality of these blushes.
They come in two different options: light and dark. I have the light palette, but the dark one is so beautiful, I think eventually I may get that one as well. For only $6 you get 4 beautiful different shades of blush.
Upside…each of the pans can be popped out. So if you want to rearrange or interchange the colors of this palette with one of their other palettes you can. It can also be interchanged with the products from the e.l.f. Total Face Palette as well.
Downside… these shades are only offered together in this palette and not sold individually. While they do not have the exact shades sold separately, they do have some similar shades such as the Studio Pressed Mineral Blush in Jet Setter and Cabo Cabana; or the Studio Blush in Blushing Rose or Berry Merry. Personally, I think the blushes from the palette are much better than the ones that are sold individually, imo.
I am going to be honest with you, the first time I applied this blush I wasn’t expecting it to be quite so pigmented and I may have ended up looking a little bit like a clown! That is ok, I love me some blushed cheeks, haha! Since then, I have found that applying the blush not only with a very light hand but also by applying it with a stippling brush. This gives me a much better, more natural look.
This beautiful blush palette holds 4 gorgeous shades to mix and match throughout the year for a custom blended color. Great for contouring, shading, sculpting, and highlighting, these silky smooth blushes create a beautiful pigmented glow. With a mixture of complimentary matte and shimmer finishes, you can achieve a professional look every time.
how to use
Choose your preferred blush shade and apply to the cheeks or area you wish to contour or highlight and blend in.
What about you? Have you tried any of these e.l.f. Powder Blush Palette? What do you think? I would love to hear your opinion!
PS: My sister is the one who first told me about this e.l.f. Powder Blush Palette (the same sister that told me about the oh sugar lip balms.) I love sharing things I love with people I love?!
~Weekly Product Highlight~Wet N Wild Au Naturel 754A Nude Awakening Palette~
I don’t go to Walmart very often, but I made an exception to get this Wet N Wild Au Naturel 754A Nude Awakening Palette. It is absolutely gorgeous! I am completely in love! Trust me, you need this in your life! One thing that I love about Wet N Wild is that they are a Cruelty Free brand! I really appreciate that they do not test on animals!
There are 5 shades there, I am just so pale that two of them don’t show up that well, haha!
The shadows are beautiful shades, they are buttery and smooth and have a great pigment. As far as I know this is exclusively sold at Walmart and Walmart.com. I paid less than $6 for this palette at the Walmart near me.
This swatch doesn’t do justice to the small sparkles in the two darkest shadows.
“Get a little risque and go au naturel! Wet n Wild Au Naturel Eye Shadow features a palette of ten rose-hued shades that’s anything but ordinary. You’ve got every rose gold shade that tickles your fancy, from mattes to shimmers to satins to sparkles. Includes a jet-milled base, silicone technology, and pearl density for uber-pigmented, silky-smooth, and long-lasting wear.

All food is not created equal. Unfortunately the two hundred calories from a Little Debbie Snack Cake are not equal to the 200 calories in steamed veggies. I really wish that this was not true! I really wish that my body would use the calories from desserts the same way it uses the veggies.
Despite having met my goal weight, I still have good days and bad days. Some days I want to eat an entire bag of skittles all by myself…the big bag, while other days I will stick to my healthy food plan no problem. The important thing is that I don’t let the mess up days keep me from being successful the next time.
I love them all, but the green ones are probably my favorite closely followed by the red ones.
I saw this video a while back and I love how it shows the comparison between the different foods. It perfectly shows how equal doesn’t mean equal!

Back in September I posted a Mini Drugstore Haul. I have had plenty of time to use the products, and I am ready to give a full review on them. I am going to use a simple “Good Buy” or “Goodbye” rating 😉
As you may remember, I love the Maybelline SuperstayBetter Skin Foundation. During the summer I was a wearing the shade 20, but now that it is winter I need a lighter shade so I picked up 15, the next shade down. (I have actually even picked up the 10 shade. I am so pale!!!) One of my favorite things about it is that it lasts all day! I have written a full review on this foundation that you can read HERE. My opinion hasn’t changed, I still love this foundation! This Maybelline Better Skin Foundation is a Good Buy.
Maybelline Fit Me Matte and Poreless foundation I had heard so many so many great things about the Maybelline Fit Me Matte and Poreless foundation. I wanted to try it out for myself. I bought the shade 115. I really like it! I cannot believe how inexpensive this foundation is! I really wish it had a pump. If it came with a pump, I think I would actually like this foundation better than the Better Skin Super Stay. That being said, this is definitely a Good Buy!
The Maybelline Great Lasht mascara is basically like the most iconic of all mascaras. Surprisingly, as much as I love Maybelline mascaras I had never tried this one. Until I was talking about this mascara with my sister, I didn’t realize that they sell it with different brush size options! Personally, I like a bigger brush on my mascaras. Next time I will get it with the larger brush. I have to say, I think it definitely lives up to all the hype. This Maybelline Great Lash mascara is a Good Buy!
Garnier Clean + Balancing Daily Exfoliator for Combination Skin
Garnier Clean + Balancing Daily Exfoliator for Combination Skin I recently wrote an entire post about this daily facial scrub. If you want to read it you can click HERE. I would repurchase the Garnier Clean + Balancing Daily Exfoliator for Combination Skin. I have enjoyed using it these last few weeks. I feel like it is just not the right choice for my skin at this time of year. I will try it again in the summer months and see if my skin reacts to it in a different way. The Garnier Clean + Balancing Daily Exfoliator for Combination Skin is a Good Buy.
Simple MicellarWater I had such high hopes for this! I have heard so many people talk about this Micellar water from Simple. It is just ok for me. It does not take waterproof makeup off well at all and forget about it if you wear waterproof mascara like I do. It isn’t a bad product, but it isn’t a miracle worker either. I have other similar products that i like better, for me this one is a Good Bye.
Aussie 3 Minute Miracle I LOVE this! It is awesome. I can’t quite place my finger on the scent to describe, but maybe a sweet citrus vanilla/orange creamsicle scent. I don’t know, I just really like it. It leaves my hair feeling super soft and healthy. I have already repurchased this two more times since I originally tried this one in September. In my opinion, Aussie 3 Minute Miracle is a very Good Buy!
As for the Suave lotion, I have been using it for years and know that it is something that I love and will repurchase over and over again. Not to heavy or greasy, not to overly scented. Comes in a huge bottle and lasts for a long time. Suave lotion is a Good Buy!
Have you used any of these drugstore products? What did you think? Good buys or goodbyes?
*I bought all of this with my own money. As always, all the opinions are all my own. 🙂
Back in November I posted a Target Mini Makeup Haul. I have had time to use the products for a while, and I am ready to give a review on them. I am going to use a simple “Good Buy” or “Goodbye” rating 😉
NYC Smooth Skin BB creme I have used this BB cream in the past, and I remember liking it. I may have actually been thinking of something else because after using it again, I really do not like this BB Cream from NYC! It is thin, runny, and liquidy. Not only does it not blend in well at all, it left my skin feeling dry. It also has these tiny fine sparkles in it. It’s unfortunate this didn’t work out for me because the color match is actually perfect. Overall as a brand, New York Color or NYC has always been a bit hit or miss for me. I love their smooth skin bronzer, liquid eye liner, and translucent loose face powder, however I do not reccommend this one, this BB creme is a Goodbye!
NYC Expert Last Lip Color in Sugar Plum
I actually really really like this lipstick, but…it broke the first time that I used it, Boo Noooooo! Despite that, I have still been using it, I have just been applying it with a lip brush. It isn’t super convenient, but it gets the job done, and it really looks beautiful when applied with the lip brush. I love the color, and the texture is smooth and creamy, and doesn’t dry my lips out at all. Even though it broke so easily, I still say this lipstick a Good Buy!
Wet and Wild Comfort Zone Palette
I love love love my Wet and Wild Petal Pusher palette, so I was pretty sure that I was most likely also going to like the Comfort Zone palette. Now I know why I have heard so many people on YouTube recommend it, it is an awesome palette!!! Wet N Wild has really stepped up their game! I have been enjoying the Wet N Wild products that I have recently purchased. No question about it,this Comfort Zone Palette is a Good Buy!
Wet N Wild Comfort Zone Palette Swatches
NYC eye-shadows sticks
I purchased the white shade #625 Rockefeller Center and #620 Murry Hill Champagne. I had high hopes for these two eye-shadow sticks. I was really hoping that they would be a cheaper comparable version of my Milani Shadow Eyez 12 HR Wear Eyeshadow Pencil.Nope, not even close! While the white one is the worse of the two, neither transfer well onto the skin, and actually instead kind of ball up on the eye lid. They don’t last long either, definitely not the promised 24 hrs. The Champagne one broke off at the base after only the second time I used it. While I forgave the NYC lipstick for breaking because it was a great product, I can’t forgive this one! There are 11 shades total, I don’t know what the other colors are like, but the two I have tried are a Goodbye, NOT a Good Buy!
Have you tried any of these products? What are your thoughts on them?
**This year, instead of buying more new things, I am going to be trying to use the many products that I already have in my make up collection. I will have many more reviews of all the products that I bought ore received in sample/ subscription boxes through out 2015.**
