Another month has flown by and November is half way over already! If you are from the USA, can you believe that it is already Thanksgiving next week?! Especially since I forgot to post October’s ipsy glam bag until the beginning of November it really seems as if the month flew by even faster!
Almost all the ladies that I work with now subscribe to ipsy. I always loving seeing what everyone else received in their bags every month.
(If you don’t know what ipsy is you can check out my previous post all about it by clicking HERE)
November’s theme was “Rockstarlet: Rock out like a knockout”
This months bag is super cute! The material it is a thick sturdy smooth cotton with makeup inspired constellations on it. Ipsters either got black and silver or the one like I received blue and gold. It is a nice shape. I like that the zipper is across the top and how cute is it that the zipper pull is a star?! As usual my daughter took one look at the bag and said “I want it!” I told her we can share it, but I don’t plan to actual share it, haha. 😉
Here is what I got in my bag for November:
Doucce Freematic Blush in #49 Zen Orange
The package it came in was quite large, but this sample is actually tiny! I have gotten several orange/coral blushes in my glam bags recently. I generally always wore more pink toned blushes, but having since tried these coral colored blushes I really like the way they look on me.
-
“Buildable and blendable. We swear this is a coral that nobody can mess up.
-
Soft, silky powder glides on evenly every time
- Goes the distance. Oil-free formula won’t fade or smudge throughout the day.”
NUXE Nuxellence DETOX
Although makeup is my favorite, I do love getting skin care items in my ipsy glam bags.
-
“Stimulates circulation in our skin and leaves us with a lasting glow
-
Quick fix. Fast-absorbing formula never feels oily.
-
Works for all skin types and all ages”

Skone Cosmetics Brow Wand Eyebrow Pencil in Chocolate
When I first saw this in my bag I thought it was ANOTHER black eyeliner. I only now when taking the picture for this post just realized that it is a brown pencil. I already have a pretty decent brow routine, so I will probably pass this along to my sister.
-
“Retractable pencil. ‘Nuff said.
-
Triangle-shaped tip gives us the ultimate versatility, so we can precisely fill in the smaller sections of our brows as well as the thicker areas
-
For chocolate lovers. Soft brown color is blendable and pigmented.”
theBalm Cosmetics Mad Lash Mascara
The packaging is annoying the way that the top fits into the tube. As you might be able to tell from the below picture it kind of clicks into the tube (it reminds me of the Tartiest sample mascara). Due to the way the packaging is it makes it hard to be able to get the excess mascara off the brush . I am not sure if it is the same for the full sized mascara, but it is annoying!
“So flexible, we think it’s been doing yoga. One of the most bendy wands we’ve ever laid eyes on, it moves easily to hug each and every lash.
-
Curved brush gives uber volume and lift.
-
The tip of the wand is ideally designed to get at even the tiniest of lashes.
- Into the deep. Rich black shade brings out our dramatic side.”
OFRA Cosmetics Banana Powder
I don’t usually use a “banana” powder but that is kinda the point of ipsy. I enjoy getting new things to try out.
-
“Tone it down. Yellow color corrects any redness on our faces.
-
Made-to-fit. Suits any skin tone—from light and fair to dark and deep.
- Light banana scent has us craving cream pie”

Looks like most people got that blush, it’s pretty but I think the regular price is a bit high.
I don’t use a banana powder either but hey, if you hate it for under the eyes, you could use that as an eye shadow?

I think you’re right, everyone’s bag I have seen has gotten the blush. I haven’t actually tried the banana power yet or even swatched it, so I’m not sure how pigmented it is for use as an eyeshadow. I will have to try it though.
