Easy Cheesy Pizza Dip

Pizza is usually an easy crowd pleaser! Not many people can resist the wonderful taste of a warm slice of cheesy pizza. This dip is a wonderful hot cheesy goodness with all of the favorite flavors of a cheese, pepperoni, and olive pizza! It is perfect for serving at a party (or eating alone :-)). As is, it serves four, but can easily be doubled, or tripled.

Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 20 minutes
Servings: 4

Ingredients

4 ounces cream cheese, room temperature 1/4 cup sour cream
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup mozzarella, shredded
1/4 cup parmigiano reggiano (parmesan), grated
1 cup pizza sauce
1/2 cup mozzarella, shredded
2 ounces pepperoni, sliced
3 tablespoons sliced black olives
2 tablespoons diced green pepper, (I personally hate peppers, so I would never add these to my own dip, gross! But, hey if you love peppers, add them in.)

Directions

Pre heated the oven to 350 F
Mix the cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, mozzarella, and parmigiano reggiano cheese. Spread it across the bottom of a pie dish.
Spread the pizza sauce on top and sprinkle on the cheese, pepperoni, olives (and if you choose green pepper).
Bake about 20 minutes or until warmed through out and bubbling and the cheese is fully melted to a golden brown on top
Serve with bruschetta or tortilla chips.

You can also make this recipe in the crock pot. If you have been around Looking Joli Good for any amount of time, you know I love my crock pot! So simple, and perfect for keeping the dip warm if being served at a party! Layer everything in the slow cooker in the same way you would in the pie baking dish. Slow cook until the cheese is nice and melted usually about 1 hours on high or 2 hours on low.

Target Mini Makeup Haul Review

Good Buy or Goodbye?!

Back in November I posted a Target Mini Makeup Haul. I have had time to use the products for a while, and I am ready to give a review on them. I am going to use a simple “Good Buy” or “Goodbye” rating 😉

Here is what I bought in November:

NYC Smooth Skin BB creme
I have used this BB cream in the past, and I remember liking it. I may have actually been thinking of something else because after using it again, I really do not like this BB Cream from NYC! It is thin, runny, and liquidy. Not only does it not blend in well at all, it left my skin feeling dry. It also has these tiny fine sparkles in it. It’s unfortunate this didn’t work out for me because the color match is actually perfect. Overall as a brand, New York Color or NYC has always been a bit hit or miss for me. I love their smooth skin bronzer, liquid eye liner, and translucent loose face powder, however I do not reccommend this one, this BB creme is a Goodbye!

NYC Expert Last Lip Color in Sugar Plum
I actually really really like this lipstick, but…it broke the first time that I used it, Boo Noooooo! Despite that, I have still been using it, I have just been applying it with a lip brush. It isn’t super convenient, but it gets the job done, and it really looks beautiful when applied with the lip brush. I love the color, and the texture is smooth and creamy, and doesn’t dry my lips out at all. Even though it broke so easily, I still say this lipstick a Good Buy!

Wet and Wild Comfort Zone Palette
I love love love my Wet and Wild Petal Pusher palette, so I was pretty sure that I was most likely also going to like the Comfort Zone palette. Now I know why I have heard so many people on YouTube recommend it, it is an awesome palette!!! Wet N Wild has really stepped up their game! I have been enjoying the Wet N Wild products that I have recently purchased. No question about it,this Comfort Zone Palette is a Good Buy!

NYC eye-shadows sticks
I purchased the white shade #625 Rockefeller Center and #620 Murry Hill Champagne. I had high hopes for these two eye-shadow sticks. I was really hoping that they would be a cheaper comparable version of my Milani Shadow Eyez 12 HR Wear Eyeshadow Pencil. Nope, not even close! While the white one is the worse of the two, neither transfer well onto the skin, and actually instead kind of ball up on the eye lid. They don’t last long either, definitely not the promised 24 hrs. The Champagne one broke off at the base after only the second time I used it. While I forgave the NYC lipstick for breaking because it was a great product, I can’t forgive this one! There are 11 shades total, I don’t know what the other colors are like, but the two I have tried are a Goodbye, NOT a Good Buy!

No Gym No Problem

No Gym? No Problem!

I don’t have a gym membership and have never worked out at the gym.

Personally I have lost all of my weight by walking outside or working out in my own home. That being said, I am going to be staring a new weekly series on Mondays called “No gym? No Problem!”

This first installment is going to be a simple 10 minute workout from one of my favorite fitness experts. Don’t worry, it isn’t Jillian 😉

GOOOOAL!!!!

I keep track of my weight loss on my fitbit fitness tracker. Today I met my weigh loss goal and received my final weight loss goal badge!

I am pretty excited about the progress that I have made. It has been a lot of consistent work and I am excited to have been on this journey. Those last 2.5 pounds were the hardest to get rid of!

Each time that I have reached a weight loss goal I have set a new goal, this time I don’t have any more pounds to lose, but instead I have set a goal to maintain my weight. I have learned so much these last few months and hope to continue to use what I have learned to keep the weight off for good!

LORAC Love, Lust & Lace Lip Gloss Collection Gift Set

You may remember that I have been on a quest to find some much needed new jeans, yup still haven’t found any yet…why is it so hard to find a great pair of jeans?! So, still no jeans, but I did find some amazing lip glosses!

Yesterday, while shopping around at Kohls, I stopped by the beauty section (obviously, of course, I did.) I wasn’t really planning on buying anything, but found myself looking at all the beautiful Lorac lip glosses. I fell in love!

I couldn’t decide on just which one I wanted. It was a toss up between Goddess and CEO. Then I saw this LORAC Love, Lust & Lace Lip Gloss Collection Gift Set. It doesn’t have Goddess, but it does include CEO.

Let me tell you, I am so glad that I decided to get this gift set! These 6 beautiful glosses were only $25 total! Are you kidding me?! $25?! I thought I probably wouldn’t use all of the colors in the set, but since it was such a great deal I just couldn’t pass this up. It ends up that love all of them! I am enjoying these glosses so much that I am going to go pick up Goddess too.

I don’t know how long this gift set is going to be available, but I highly recommend you go get these or any of the other beautiful Lorac Alter Ego Lip Glosses.

These glosses are highly-pigmented and have a long lasting glossy color without feeling sticky or uncomfortable. I think that they are supposed to have a vanilla scent, but I don’t necessarily think that it is vanilla like. Either way, the scent is definitely a pleasant one. The tip of the applicator works great for the cupids bow as well as getting color in the corners of your lips. Also the angle of the doe foot applicator gives a very smooth application. For me, it was love at first swipe!

I am so happy that I decided to buy this set. Each of these colors is absolutely beautiful in a very different way. I can’t decide which one is my favorite. So far I have really been enjoying wearing Dominatrix and Coquette. (Added bonus, Dominatrix is the type of color that makes your teeth look whiter!) I thought for sure that Sex Symbol and Debutante were not going to work with my skin tone, but when I put them on I was pleasantly surprised at how beautiful both are. I have also worn Debutante over one of my other lipsticks and it looked amazing!

I received this palette for Christmas and have been LOVING using it ever since. I am not kidding, I am in LOVE! Look at these beautiful colors! Every time I open this palette I get a happy little feeling! I cannot decide which of these amazing shades is my favorite. I adore Champagne and Nude, but then I look over and see Deep Purple, but look at that Mauve, oh my that… Pewter! I just can’t pick one!


This palette has 8 mattes and 8 shimmery shades. Each matte shades has a similar corresponding shimmer shade. It includes warm, cool and neutral shades. These shadows can be used wet or dry, and work perfectly either way. The palette comes with a Mini Behind The Scenes Eye Primer. I have used these both with and without the eyeshadow primer. I actually prefer it without a primer, but that is mostly because I don’t usually use a primer, so I am not used to putting one and and working with it.


I highly recommend this palette! If you are an eyeshadow lover, you NEED this in your life! The shadows are so soft, so smooth and so silky. I every day that I have used these shadows I have loved my eye look. The shadows are highly pigmented and blend like a dream. I am not going to be able to go back to using my other eyeshadows now that I have been spoiled with these.

Get The Most Out of Your Workout

A very common New Years resolution is to workout and get healthy! I am resolving to continue to remain as healthy as I possibly can this year. If you also made a resolution to be a healthier you in 2016, here are a few tips and tricks to help you keep that resolution!

Just do it! You may not feel like working out, but let me tell you, you will not regret it! You will only regret the times you skipped working out not the times you did it!

Stop making excuses! You are your own worst enemy! Trust me, I know all about the head games and excuses! You are not really as busy as you think you are! Make time to get in a quick exercise session. You can spare 30-45 min to become a healthier person. You will be so glad that you did!

Be consistent! The more often you exercise the greater impact it will have on your life. As with many things consistency is what brings results. Long term health is more important than short term results.

Don’t waste your time! If you are going to take the time to work out give it your all! Don’t take the easy way out, do your best. Be completely present in what you are doing. Think about the muscles you are working

Have a plan! If you are new to exercising and working out, make sure you have a plan! Have you ever heard the saying “Fail to plan, plan to fail”? It is so true. Having a plan will also help you to not waste your time.

Keep moving! Even if you feel like you might keel over, keep moving. Even if you have to move super slowly, keep moving. If you are moving then you will keep going, if you stop to take a break, you may be able to convince yourself that you don’t need to continue. Keep moving!

Start strong, stay strong, end strong! This is similar to don’t waste your time and keep moving. Anything worth doing is worth doing right! Make the most out of your time. An intense 30 minute workout is worth way more than a half effort hour long session.

Don’t give up! Even if you miss a day here or there, or haven’t been consistent at all, that doesn’t mean you have to give up! Just remember, January may be the start of the new year, but you can start a new healthy lifestyle any day you want to! Most people give up on their New Years resolutions by February. You got this, don’t let that be you! Don’t give up!

Roasted Cauliflower

Roasted cauliflower is one of my latest food obsessions. It is so delicious, simple, and yet super healthy. Cauliflower is is a great source of Vitamin A, folate, magnesium, and potassium. It also has a ton of phytochemicals. If you don’t know what phytochemicals are, they are an important part of health and wellbeing. Not only do they improve the health of our GI bacteria (also known as gut flora), they also promote healthy immunity.

Ingredients

1 head cauliflower cut into bite-size florets. A 2 pound cauliflower will give around 8ish cups. (you can even use frozen cauliflower*)
1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil or my favorite grape seed oil
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/2teaspoon black pepper
2 teaspoons kosher salt

Want to spice it up a bit more…
4 cloves garlic, roughly chopped (instead of the garlic powder)
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper
3 teaspoons roughly chopped fresh thyme leaves

Directions

Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F.

Mix together the oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and pepper. Toss the cauliflower with the oil mixture in a large mixing bowl (sometimes I even put it all into a gallon sized zip top freezer bag and shake it up.) Spread out evenly on a foil lined baking sheet; sprinkle with salt. Roast until golden and tender, about 20 minutes. Flip halfway through for an all over even roast. Put into your serving dish and enjoy!

I like mine extra crispy so I usually do closer to 23-28, flipping every 10 minutes.

*Just thaw frozen cauliflower out a bit first by briefly running it under cool to warmish water, letting it sit and drain. Repeat as many times as necessary. Frozen veggies often cook a bit faster, so keep a closer eye on them, set the timer for 15 min, adding 5 min as necessary.
