Another month has flown by!!! I can’t believe that it is already time to post what I got in my ipsy glam bag! I don’t know about you, but I always loving seeing what everyone else received in their bags.
This month’s ipsy theme is “Hot Summer Nights” The card basically tells about the new changes to the ipsy.com website. They have added a new tips and tricks section as well as a look book inspo section.
(If you don’t know what ipsy is you can check out my previous post all about it by clicking HERE)
This month’s glam bag is super cute! Silver gray background with an iridescent sheen background with small pink and white beach umbrella pattern. I love the iridescent colors of this bag’s print, it is one of my favorites so far! The zipper is across the top, a feature that I prefer best.

Here’s what I got in my glam bag this month…
theBalm Cosmetics Meet Matt(e) Trimony Eyeshadow in Matt Moskowitz
Triple milled just sounds attractive, doesn’t it? It means this shadow is super fine, making it smooth and easy to blend.
Ultra-matte color
- Perfect on your lids, in the crease or as a transition shade
- Velvety texture that’s as soft as it is stunning
ipsters received this eyeshadow in either Matt Kumar orMatt Moskowitz. I got it in Matt Moskowitz, which is a deep purple plum shade.
Although in the pan the shadow feels soft and smooth, it didn’t swatch well at all. Look at that swatch! It completely looks like a bruise! It was patchy and not very pigmented. It took 3 passes to get the swatch to show up like this. I am hoping that when I use a brush and put it onto my eyelids I have better results.
OFRA Cosmetics Lip Liner in Silk
- Made with synthetic beeswax for smooth application
- Long-lasting (aka made to stay the course of the day)
- Waterproof and drink-proof
ipsters will receive this lip liner in the shade Maya or Silk. I got the shade silk which is described as “a ballet slipper shade that draws a soft line for perfectly pink lips.”
It feels smooth and creamy when swatched. I don’t love liners that need to be sharpened and I’m not sure how I feel about the color I received. I don’t usually wear such a light pink/nude shade on my lips. Naturally I have very pigmented lips, so nudes and light pinks don’t always work out for me. We’ll see if I end up using this or passing it along to someone else.

Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentré
Everything on the bottle is written in French, so I had to look up what it was and how to use it. Hopefully it is as awesome as it is described to be.
“Tips & Tricks: ipsy’s Awesome Spin Have it three-ways.
Way 1: As a moisturizer: Apply to clean skin and leave on for 5-10 minutes.
Way 2: As a primer: Massage on for an extra glow before applying liquid, mineral or pressed powder foundation.
Way 3: As a makeup remover: Dab on a cotton pad and smooth across the eyelid.”
“Making pharmaceutical-grade skincare a thing since 1950. With over half a century of experience in dermatology and cosmetics, this Parisian brand started by a doctor specializing in skin diseases has been a cult favorite for decades. Their first superstar product, the legendary Milk-Cream Concentrate, has sold millions worldwide and continues to gain fans like us every day.”
- Shea butter and sodium hyaluronate in the formula make it glide on easily
- Ceramides condition your lashes
- Vegan and free of all the bad stuff (parabens, sulfates and latex)
It swatches great and is a very black black. I love that it is a twist up style of liner and think that the smudger is a great addition.
Even more so I like that fact that founder Karissa Bodar is doing such awesome things for women with and surviving cancer.
Luxie Beauty Luxie Rose Gold Small Angle Eye Brush 215
I have a love hate relationship with getting brushes in my ipsy bag. I somewhat hate that have been getting one almost every month recently, but I have actually been loving the bushes that I have been getting recently. (I would much rather get a brush every month instead of nail polish!) Since I just recently started wearing gel liner, I think that this brush might come in handy for that.
“When it comes to makeup, we’re all about the details. And this brush makes it simple to apply with precision.
- Dense and compact bristles
- Hello, versatility! Line, smudge or fill in brows.
- Built to last”
